WWOW 1360AM Catholic
Radio is a lay initiative that has answered Pope John Paul
II’s call for a new evangelization. Walking On Water Radio
offers listeners local programming, national live call-in
talk shows, informative teaching series, daily devotions,
inspiring prayers and Church events.
Walking On Water Radio’s strong commitment to original, high
quality programming continues to attract listeners from all
faith groups... And although all of our programming is in
full communion with the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic
Church, we are 100% listener supported and we do not receive
funding from the local diocese or Churches. All program
teachings are found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Serving western Pennsylvania, Ashtabula County and eastern
Lake County.
Why Catholic Radio?
The Church today utilizes many avenues of evangelization and
catechesis. These include Catholic schools and hospitals, as
well as RCIA and religious education programs. Sadly, these
programs are often unsuccessful in spreading the truths of
the Faith to those they encounter and to whom they minister.
Just a few statistics are needed to highlight the impact and
effectiveness of traditional means of catechesis.
• Just “10% of lay religious teachers accept church teaching
on contraception. 53% believe a Catholic can have an
abortion and remain a good Catholic. 65% believe that
Catholics may divorce and remarry.”
• 77% “Believe one can be a good Catholic without going to
mass on Sundays.”
• Responses to the “Survey of Persons Who Were Received
Through RCIA” show that only 50% of those who went through
RCIA were actively involved in a “ministry or committee in
the parish… any other” service.
• Almost half of all Catholic high schools in the United
States have closed since 1965. About 4,000 Parochial schools
closed their doors, and the number of pupils is under 2
million -- from 4.5 million.

The Holy Spirit has blessed Walking On Water Radio with a
creative and successful means of serving our Lord, helping
struggling souls, and leaving a legacy in salvation history:
1. We produce and air amazing radio programs that change
minds and soften hearts.
2. We connect listeners thru our daily call-in programs with
catechetical information necessary to enrich and strengthen
their faith so that they may share the “Good News” with all
those they may meet.
3. We educate and “re-catechize” inquiring souls to the
faith resources and Sacraments found in their local Diocese
and Catholic parish.
Why should I give?
• To help bring lost souls, including friends and relatives
back to the Church
• To be part of a united Catholic effort to influence our
culture and re-Christianize our secular society
• To act on Jesus’ call for us to fulfill our Christian duty
to evangelize and “go therefore and teach all nations”
(Matthew 28:19)
• To keep this high quality, educational and inspirational
Catholic programs on the air where thousands of listeners
are tuning in.
